Long Beach Campground, Ras Al Khaimah

Head to the sparkling coast of Ras Al Khaimah and discover one of the best glamping experiences in the UAE at the Long Beach Campground

The pleasant weather is back, and with it comes the 5th season of Long Beach Campground. For those who like to experience all the advantages of camping without disadvantages, Long Beach Campground combines the traditional camping spirit with luxurious facilities and all-weather activities. The campsite is located on a 300-meter long beach, which is ideal for accommodation, families, romantic trips and groups of friends. This is the season you can look forward to.

residence:

When you combine camping with luxurious facilities and upscale comfort, you get glamping. Long Beach Campground offers five fascinating camping options. Each tent is equipped with comfortable sleeping arrangements, outdoor furniture and sea views; some have private toilets, and some share bathrooms.

From authentic luxury tents for two adults and two children or three adults; authentic family tents that can accommodate six adults; to a different style of Safari Suite tent; gorgeous panoramic dome suite tent; and A private and eye-catching sunset terrace suite tent that can accommodate two adults.

We stayed in the panoramic dome suite tent, which is a hexagonal dome covered with transparent material. It is located high above the hotel with a view of the campsite and the sea. The tent is as beautiful as the pictures outside, with a private terrace, jacuzzi, and even a mini backyard.

The spacious air-conditioned interior space can accommodate four adults and two children or six adults. It has luxurious decoration, a seating area, a queen-size bed and two single bunk beds, a private bathroom and a unique outdoor view view.

It is pure happiness to say the least.

Cooking products:

No matter which tent type you choose, the package includes half-board service during your stay-including a rich buffet dinner and breakfast, live radio and children’s corner, available in the beach dining area or infinity pool bar. You can also choose to quench your thirst by enjoying unlimited adult drinks for 2 hours in the evening.

The serving time of dinner and breakfast is fixed and strict, for two hours, that is, between 7 pm and 9 pm and between 7 am and 9 am. We appreciate this because the camping paradise offers many activities throughout the day. You will want to start your day early and make the most of your time there.

Just before sunset, we went to the infinity pool bar to sit down, take a quick dip and enjoy the sunset. Here, you can also have a light meal by the pool, overlooking the beach. The frame of the sun disappearing under the horizon is fascinating, and I think we will never forget this moment.

Soon after, we were greeted by the aroma of barbecued food wafting from the sea below. This is a hint that we are leaving for dinner.

The beach dining area is a spacious outdoor seating under a large open-air tent on the beach. It provides fresh salad bar, barbecue spots, live cooking stations and other international and local cuisines. Waves collide in the background, flashing fairy lights string together rhythmically, and the spotlight saxophone performed on the elevated platform completes the laid-back atmosphere.

After walking around the huge counter for a short distance, we determined exactly what we wanted to eat, and then picked up the plate to start our cooking experience. The first is the bread area, offering a variety of multigrain rolls, sliced breads and even flatbreads, if you like. Choose from lentils or Spanish seafood soup and keep it hot on the burning coals.

My choice of carbohydrates beckoned, and I went to the on-site pasta point, where you can choose spaghetti with tomato sauce or macaroni with cream sauce. Don’t shy away from asking for extra Parmesan cheese, it is always needed.

Next is the kebab section, where hot and spiced minced meat pies are served with various sauces such as tamarind, mint, tomato and Sriracha; and juicy roasted whole lamb. A series of salads, including Greek salad, Waldorf salad, quinoa and chicken salad, our next stop is Fattoush; the salad bar even offers the option of DIY your own service. Muhamarra and Moutabel, together with pickled vegetables and poppies, completed the fresh assortment.

After a short respite, we head to the barbecue area to taste juicy burgers, more skewers, and perfectly marinated and grilled seafood treasures, such as goldfish, sherry and sultans. We love these. For the best experience, stuff it into the grill while it’s hot, and then come back for extra food.

Pizza, fish balls and chips, and other dishes are sure to be welcomed by children. I tried the fish balls, they are well seasoned and absolutely delicious. My dining partner chose an aromatic Mutton Dum biryani with Molokhia chicken and Pindi chana masala; and I decided to try steaming rice with Sichuan vegetables for a bolder taste.

We told you this is an impressive choice of dishes; we haven’t even tried it. Dessert requires a bite of Umm Ali; Churros can choose butterscotch or chocolate syrup (or both); strawberry cream pudding; and classic marble cake or carrot cake slices.

The next day, we woke up early and took a quick bite, starting with freshly baked croissants and sweetened fruit pastries. Corn flakes, cocoa soda and cold milk constitute cereal products; followed by fresh fruits, vegetables, yogurt and cereals.

We chose a fried egg, cooked to our liking at the on-site cooking station, with roasted tomatoes, baked beans, breakfast beef and chicken sausage. More varied options include Vermicelli upma (a traditional Indian breakfast), Burghul porridge, Spanish egg casserole, Foul medames and vegetable clear soup. A self-service spot featuring pineapple juice, orange juice and apple juice provided a cool and refreshing start to our day; coffee and tea are nearby.

Camp activities:

Don’t worry, when you book, you will automatically get the right to the all-inclusive activity package-this not only means access to the beach and swimming pool, but also water sports, fitness and dance programs, water theater, barn, archery, sunrise Yoga, pottery, etc.

After checking in, we stopped at the archery station to shoot arrows and headed to the barn, which quickly became our favorite place to visit. Both adults and children can see (and even play) friendly dogs and cute cats, rabbits, birds, donkeys and even snakes.

We originally planned to go skydiving and fitness, but the sea looked very attractive, so we decided to try to get into the water, fly some kites, and spend a fun afternoon. After a quick shower and a change of clothes, we rushed to the floating theater to take part in our favorite Latin dance class.

Next to the infinity pool, we arrived there at dusk and found that an interesting briefing was going on. A member of the campsite’s entertainment team announced three family-friendly movies for guests to vote; later in the evening, the person with the majority of votes will play in the floating theater (it’s actually in the water, offshore), and you Sit down and enjoy popcorn from a comfortable bean bag under the stars.

Pottery Tent offers courses where you can make your own clay objects, and you can even take them home as a souvenir for your handicrafts and travels. Served on the beach shortly after dinner, and then roasted marshmallows in the campfire area.

The Dart Championship was also announced that night. Since we have already seen the selected Jungle Cruise released in 2021, we chose to participate in the competition and achieved an exciting victory.

It has been a long but enjoyable day and I can’t wait to get a good night’s sleep before the excitement of the next morning.

After a quick breakfast, we tried stand-up paddle boarding, but we could only manage to sit down. It was still a good time. Meanwhile, later in the day, there are other ongoing projects near Long Beach, including volleyball and badminton games, kayaking, junior chef courses, embroidery, painting, quizzes, etc.

To make your experience a little better, these activities run throughout the day according to the camping schedule. Therefore, if parents wish to participate in adult-only courses, they can send their children to the children’s club tent to receive supervised care and participate in activities such as karate classes, egg hunts, cooking competitions, and sand castle construction.

Insider tips:

We only stayed for one night and felt that the trip was too short. With adventurous activities and exciting experiences suitable for all ages, we recommend staying for at least two nights.
