Homemade Sloppy Joe
“Sloppy Joe. Sloppy, Sloppy Joss…” I can’t hear or see Sloppy Jos without singing the song from Adam Sandler’s SNL skit. The good news is that these aren’t the no-lunch lady’s sandwiches. These are very nice and easy to put together. But their names are apt. Very messy. Be sure to have a napkin nearby.
We know you can buy meat for Sloppy Joes at the store, but it’s much better to know the homemade recipe (which we’re sharing with you today). We think you’ll agree, even if it takes more time. 😉
Now, let’s talk about buns. You want a soft loaf because it helps keep things less sloppy. Regular hamburgers are good, but I don’t recommend the pretzel. The bread depicted in this article is a salad bread. So light and soft with a beautiful shiny golden shell. Your local grocery store bakery is the place to be.
Sloppy Jos makes a delicious meal! We hope you love them as much as we do. They are really messy and they are awesome!
