M&M Chocolate Granola Bars (+Video)


One of the best bar recipes you will ever try! ! These M&M chocolate granola bars have multiple layers of oatmeal, sweetened condensed milk and a chocolate center with more oatmeal and M&Ms on top.

We like to bake with M&M-from M&M biscuits to M&M cake mix biscuit sticks, M&M biscuit cakes-they are the perfect complement to many desserts. They are also very suitable for changing clothes during the holidays.

I will almost find any excuse to try a new dessert. Recently, I decided to make some M&M chocolate granola bars, this is Betty Crocker’s recipe, they are very popular! ! My husband took them to a colleague, and he said they left in a few minutes.

Because they are very good and easy to make, they are now one of our top desserts (along with our crepes and cookie bars). We like to change them with different M&Ms, and almost always use ice cream to warm them!

They are simple-they have received enthusiastic reviews, and as the holidays change, they are fun.

How to make M&M chocolate granola bars

Since these have become the first choice, we can actually make them with our eyes closed. They are so easy!

First preheat the oven to 350.

In a large bowl, use a spoon to mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, salt and 1 cup of softened butter. Take out 1 cup of this mixture and set aside. Press the remaining mixture into a greased 9×13 pan.

In a small pot, melt the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat. Keep stirring until the potato chips melt and everything becomes smooth.

Pour this mixture on the oats and spread evenly. Sprinkle the spare oatmeal mixture and M&Ms on top. Bake for about 25-30 minutes. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting.

arrive Shop These bars simply need to be tightly covered with plastic wrap and placed on the counter for up to 3 days. If you need to reheat, just heat it in the microwave for about 15 seconds.

Other bar toppings. We think M&Ms is the perfect complement to these bars. There are other sweets that work well, including:

  • Toffee
  • Other chocolate chips (white chocolate and butterscotch are great)
  • Fragment of Reese
  • Light rain

More changes

These bars can easily change the different ingredients listed above, as well as M&Ms. Now there are many different varieties and colors, you can create customized M&M bars for each holiday. You can also change the taste according to the M&M used.

You can even use peanut butter M&Ms, if you think they are too big, you can crush them and add them on top. In the picture above, you can see how we can make Valentine’s Day, Christmas and Easter M&M bars by changing the top candies.

  • Pour the chocolate chip mixture on the bottom layer and spread evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cup of oatmeal mixture on the chocolate.
