How to clean your curling iron

How to clean your curling iron

Hello! It’s Kimberly from Night Owl and I’m back this month with another simple and helpful family tip! We share top tips on everything from how to soften butter quickly for great baking to how to keep your toilet clean.

Today we’re back in the bathroom to share How to clean your curling iron And flat iron!

So to be honest, it’s been a while since I’ve done this – now is the perfect time to share with you how to clean your curlers and flat irons because I can show you a great before and after! The good news is that you probably already have everything you need in your pantry!

Just grab a clean towel and rubbing alcohol! Simply dampen a towel with rubbing alcohol and rub on a COOL curling iron or flat iron. Please note that rubbing alcohol is flammable, so you don’t want to do this on a hot curling iron! Wait for the iron to cool completely, then you can wipe the entire curling iron clean from the barrel to the handle. It’s amazing how clean they can get!

Just a few minutes. If you have some stubborn spots, you can wet your towel with rubbing alcohol and wrap the iron around the stubborn spots. Then rub it again, and if it’s still stubborn, try with your nails! Rubbing alcohol will definitely soften the residue of hairspray and other products on the curling iron, and sometimes you need to scrape a little to get a complete clean.

So join me in getting all the curling irons and flat irons out of the way this month! I hope you find this tip useful!
