This tomato mozzarella salad is one of my favorite foods. This is a quick and simple salad that can be made immediately. Whether it’s a side dish or an appetizer-it’s impeccable.
The combination of fresh basil, tomato slices, thick mozzarella cheese and a little balsamic glaze is delicious.

Different service methods
Serve the salad as shown in the picture above (we like fresh mozzarella cheese, which can be sliced beforehand) or change it. You can also use mozzarella cheese balls and cherry tomatoes (such as our Caprese Kabobs or this Quick Caprese Salad) to make it smaller.

Best balsam reduction
Our favorite balsamic reducing agent is Modena Cream Balsamic Glaze. But you can also make it yourself!
Mix balsamic vinegar and brown sugar (4 parts vinegar to 1 part sugar) over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Make your own. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for about 20 minutes, until the mixture is reduced by half.
