Breakfast Ring Recipe-Step by Step (+Video)
The delicious bacon and pepper eggs are placed in a circle of delicious crescent roll dough. This is our new favorite breakfast recipe!
Croissant rolls can be used in quick and easy breakfast recipes, especially in this impressive crescent ring! We also use them to make crescent-shaped breakfast pies and breakfast egg cups.
Simple and delicious
We put in a lot of effort to find the best recipes and ideas to share on this website. Some are entirely my ideas, some are inspired by other recipes we have seen over the years or in magazines and old cookbooks.
We like to test these recipes and recently came across a recipe that everyone likes. This is a delicious crescent breakfast ring, which is full of many delicious things, including-eggs, cheese, bacon and peppers!
This breakfast ring requires more work than your standard eggs and potatoes, but trust me-it’s worth it. And it’s that simple!
How to make a crescent ring
As mentioned earlier, this recipe is very simple, you can add any of your favorite ingredients. This is how we make the breakfast version. To start, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
bacon. Boil the bacon and set aside.
Egg. In a bowl, mix â…“ milk, egg salt, and pepper evenly. Add the peppers, pour into the bacon pan, and cook until thickened but still moist. Set aside.
Crescent dough. Add parchment paper to a large cookie sheet. Unfold the crescent roll dough and divide it into triangles. Surround the dough to form a 4 inch circle with the dot pointing to the outside of the cookie sheet (see picture below). Press the overlapping dough together.
Floor. Add bacon around the center of the circle at the top of the triangle, and put â…“ cup of shredded cheese on top. Put the egg on the cheese with a spoon, then add another â…“ cup of cheese on the egg.
wrap. Add the tip of the dough and wrap the egg, tuck the dough under the dough to form a ring (the filling can be seen).
butter. Brush the surface of the dough with melted butter and remaining cheese.
bake. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with coriander and serve while hot. Please enjoy!
What can I use instead of canned refrigerated crescent rolls? If refrigerated canned crescent dough is not available, or if you prefer to make your own, you have a few options. Please note that the baking time may vary, so please observe carefully.
- The puff pastry has a different texture, but it can also be used.
- Make your own crescent-shaped dough
- You can even contact your local bakery and buy crescent dough
Advance and store
Can I make this in advance? You can assemble this the night before. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until you are ready to bake.
How do I store leftovers? If you happen to have leftovers, store them in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 1-2 days. Reheat in the oven, oven or even microwave.
Variety: Remember, this can be changed to your liking. Replace the cheese or use sausage instead. You can even add potatoes and other vegetables to the ring. The possibilities are endless.
If you like the taste of bacon, eggs, chili, cheese and crescent rolls, then I think you will like this dish as much as we do. Ideal for holidays, brunch or weekend breakfast gatherings.
