What does it look like: The existence of Giorgio Locatelli will definitely appear in the menu he created. With the release of the spring menu, including seasonal ingredients such as white asparagus, we knew we had to try it. This restaurant is located in one of Dubai’s iconic hotspots, Atlantis The Palm, which is very lively even on Monday night. The warm and rustic atmosphere provides a good refreshment for my melancholy.
The focus of the restaurant is the wood-burning brick oven, surrounded by mostly children, who are eager to see their pizzas being made in front of them. After stuffing a basket of fresh bread, we asked the helpful waiter for advice on what to order. First of all, my partner and I ordered Fritto misto-Italian tempura fried zucchini and vegetables, which tasted perfect-and Burrata with kimchi, which we finished in a few minutes. The burrata is fresh, sticky and absolutely delicious-this meal is definitely the highlight. The seafood platter is recommended for the main course, but we also wanted to try the tender beef with white asparagus and masala sauce on the spring menu, so we chose to share both! Although beef is not my favorite, my partner likes it very much because it is cooked to his liking. I, on the other hand, like the subtle sweetness of white asparagus. Seafood platter has everything from lobster and tiger prawns to squid and tuna steak. Lobster is another favorite because every bite is juicy and tender.
We were not sure about the desserts, but after reading the menu and the staff’s recommendations, we decided to share the lemon wine ice cream dessert with berries, which was light and refreshing, with a citrus flavor.
