Located at Dubai Harbour Marina Club on Dubai Harbour’s lush waterfront, Bar Du Port is a spectacular new restaurant showcasing French-inspired cuisine and handcrafted dishes.
When you walk into this space, the first thing you notice is the magnificent BDP signage at the entrance, then you can soak up the surrounding lavish bohemian decor, fun vibe and stunning water views across the large open terrace .
We visited Bar Du Port’s new Mediterranean-inspired brunch on Saturday, promising a sip of wine, delicious dishes and a full four hours of great entertainment.
Highlights:
The menu is extensive, both food and drink. We were lucky enough to be seated at the statement bar in the middle and the bartenders were busy at work, constantly rustling creative concoctions like works of art in a glass.
We chose to start with the bitter orange juice, which was perfect for the al fresco dining atmosphere, and the cheerful tune had us almost dancing in our seats.
Soon, a range of appetizers from the three-course menu appeared on our table. I can never resist fresh, vibrant guacamole, and BDP’s Avocado Dish didn’t disappoint. The smoked salmon is silky smooth and the marinated shrimp skewers are juicy. But the star of the first course was a chicken soda with truffle sauce. Appetizers are more succulent and a feast for our senses.
A green salad with yuzu dressing and a classic Buffalo Roma zurilla and tomato salad round out many entrees. Now while six courses may sound like a lot, these portions are perfect for sharing between two or three, ensuring a happy stomach without completely filling you up—something that’s often done at brunch.
Take a breath and enjoy the vibe here. Drinks come in a variety of flavors such as strawberry, lemongrass, lemon and coffee.
After a short break, we went to enjoy the main course, including basil pesto risotto, pan-seared ham, chargrilled corn chicken and Australian beef tenderloin. My personal favorite is the seafood, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. And my dining partner, a meat lover, loves this delicious beef dish.
A cranberry cheesecake, a dark chocolate coffee cake and a Tarte tatin satisfied our sweet tooth and rounded out our experience.
