a secret ingredient

We have always loved making cookies and we have made many varieties over the years. Today’s recipe happens to be a remake of our classic chocolate chip cookie!

Everything is made the same way, but instead of adding vanilla, we add our secret ingredient – almond extract! Believe it or not, but it makes these cookies irresistible. We also added white and butterscotch chips and whenever we make them people ask for the recipe. They are just that good. 😉

Of course, you can adjust them to your liking, but we guarantee chips and almonds are the perfect combination.

Easy Pea Cookies

These white chocolate butterscotch cookies are ready in about 10 minutes.

First combine the sugar, oil and butter. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. From there you will add dry ingredients and almonds.

Last but not least, add the fries and mix well.

Note: The key to making the cookies look pretty is adding some chocolate chips to the scooped or rolled cookie dough. 😉

Bake for 7-9 minutes and voila – delicious cookies you’ll want to eat by the dozen.

Cookie problem?

can you make these advance time? Yes! You can make the dough 24 hours in advance. Just cover and put them in the fridge to bring them to near room temperature before rolling into balls and baking.

storage It’s easy too. Just place in an airtight container or Ziploc bag and let sit on the counter for 3-5 days (if they last that long). Adding a loaf of bread to the container also keeps them soft.

Can you freeze Cookies? Of course! Form excess dough into balls and freeze in an airtight container. When you want to use them, just pull out the desired amount, thaw, and bake according to the recipe instructions.

We hope you enjoy these White Chocolate Butterscotch Cookies because they are truly a family favorite recipe!
