The best slow-cooked pork chops

These simple and delicious slow-cooked pork chops will surely become a family favorite. They are tender and juicy with amazing gravy on top, we like to put it on the ribs and mashed potatoes!

Whether it’s a crazy workday or a lazy Sunday, I always rely on my clay pot to have a good dinner, and I don’t even bother. These crock-pot pork chops are what I often make at dinner on Sundays. But if it’s not pork chops, it’s probably a barbecue or ranch chicken!

Do you like pork chops?

We make them several times a month, because we like them very much, so we have been trying different ways to make them.

We like our Parma Pork Chop, but also want to try a crock version. This led us to find several versions in the old house church recipes, until we confirmed today’s version. My mother did it several times, and after her consent, we knew it would be a good one.

The recipe is very simple, and the delicious gravy is also great! We put ribs and gravy on some mashed potatoes, and some vegetables, and had a hearty meal. We think this recipe is perfect for Sunday or any busy day.

Charred and slow simmering

As mentioned earlier, this recipe is very simple.

Burn. After mixing the spices and some flour, scoop out each piece of the mixture and fry it on the stove for a few minutes.

Simmer it slowly. From there, the pork tenderloin enters the slow cooker with some chicken broth. Pork chops need to be cooked for several hours. When you are done, you will use the gravy to make the gravy.

Gravy. You can put it in a slow cooker, add some flour and stir until smooth, or you can pour the juice into a small pot and do the same. It may have some pieces of meat, if you don’t like it, you can filter them out.

Tips and frequently asked questions

Can you cook pork chops in a frozen state? Because the crock pot cooks meat very slowly, bacteria may contaminate it before it reaches a safe cooking temperature. It is safest to use thawed pork chops in a crock pot.

How can I quickly defrost frozen pork chops? If you forget to thaw frozen meat in the refrigerator, there is a faster option. Put the ribs in a sealed zipper bag, and then put them in a deep bowl filled with cold water. Change the water every 20-30 minutes until the ribs are thawed.

How long can cooked spare ribs be kept? The remaining pork chops can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 3-4 days.

How to reheat cooked pork chops? To maintain moisture and texture, reheat the ribs in the oven. Use an oven-safe casserole to pour 3-4 tablespoons of water or broth at the bottom, put the ribs in a dish and cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes.

You can also use a similar method to reheat it in the microwave. Put a few tablespoons of water or broth into the bottom of the microwave safe dish, add the ribs, close the lid, and heat for 1-2 minutes or until hot.

We are very happy to have this simple recipe on hand-because you know how much we like our simple dinner ideas. 😉
