Taco Pie Recipe Easy and Delicious + Video

I’m obsessed with easy dinner ideas! Since this is something that needs to be made every day, we’re always looking for quick and easy recipes.
The recipe I’m sharing today happens to be another of them. This is a taco pie ready in less than an hour. It has all the delicious flavors of a taco salad in pie form and is a family favorite.
Served with hamburgers, green peppers, bisquick, cheese and toppings, it was delicious! It reminds us of a taco salad in pie form, which means even picky kids love it!
How to Make Taco Pie + Top Ideas
This recipe is very similar to quiche. It can also be modified to include any ingredient you like or dislike (try shredded chicken – it’s delicious).
beef. For this version, you start by cooking a pound of ground beef until it’s browned. Add taco seasoning and stir until coated.
Chile. Spoon this mixture into a greased pie pan and top with the peppers.
Bisquick and bake. Whisk together milk, eggs and Bisquick, then pour over meat and peppers to make Bisquick mixture. Bake for about 30 minutes.
toppings. Top with cheese and bake for another 10 minutes, then allow to set and add toppings. Some of our favorite additions include:

Can you make this in a pie shell like a traditional quiche? Yes, just pour the beef into a regular pie shell and continue with the recipe below.
What is a good alternative to Mexican cheese? We like to vary the cheeses we use in our recipes. If you don’t like Mexican blend cheese, you can use cheddar, Colby Jack, or even mozzarella.
Can you make this recipe gluten free? Yes! There is a gluten free Bisquick mix available for the cookie layer.
How to store leftovers? Chill in the refrigerator in an airtight Tupperware container for about a week. You can also use leftovers from taco night in this recipe.

- 1 pound ground beef lean
- 1 envelope taco seasoning
- 1 4.5 oz.can I have green peppers
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup Bisquick mix
- 3/4 cup shredded Mexican cheese
- lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream (for garnish)

Preheat oven to 400.

Cook ground beef in a pan until browned and no longer pink.

Stir in taco seasoning and spoon into greased pie pan. Spoon over the green peppers.

Combine milk, eggs, and Bisquick in a medium bowl until combined, then pour over meat mixture. Bake for 30 minutes.

Sprinkle with cheese and bake for another 10 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before serving. Top with salsa, sour cream, lettuce and/or tomatoes.
