We love Disney treats, and when we’re not at the park, we love to bring the magic home with recipes like this milkshake, Mickey Beigner, churros funnel cake, and apple pie caramel apples.

Aunt Gravity’s Special – Pumpkin Pie Smoothie!

We love going to Walt Disney World in the fall. It’s not just because of all the fall decorations and pumpkins, but especially because of all the seasonal treats.

One of our favorite treats is the Pumpkin Pie Shake found at Aunty Gravity in Magic Kingdom. It’s cool, pumpkin flavorful and full of fall flavor. We wanted to try it at home and we’re happy to report that it was just like it!

We know we can’t be in the park for long, so we’re glad we can now make this delicious treat and bring home some magic when we miss parks and treats. The best part is that it’s just a great fall treat. If you love pumpkin and ice cream, then you’ll love this delicious concoction.

Why caramel?

Caramel isn’t necessary, but boy hello makes it better. Caramel and pumpkin are always a great combination, so adding a little caramel on top is an extra flavor that makes the shake even more addictive.

If you really want the caramel to stick, freeze your cup first so it sets faster when you put the caramel on the sides. 😉

Store-bought caramel would work just as well – but also note that it makes a great addition on top (drizzled over whipped cream) if you want to go that route too.

How to Make a Pumpkin Smoothie

It only takes minutes to make this smoothie!

Once the caramel cups are ready, all you need to do is mix the rest of the ingredients. This recipe only serves 2, so keep that in mind if you’re making it for the whole family. You can also make the cups smaller if you want to make some for the kids but don’t want them to have such a big cup.

Add your ingredients (ice cream, milk, pumpkin pie filling, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and food coloring—if desired) to a blender. Blend until smooth. Food coloring isn’t necessary, but we added it so it looked more like Aunty Gravity’s smoothie. 😉

Pour into your glass, add whipped cream and sprinkles, and serve immediately.

Recipe Tips + Tricks

pie filling: Usually I always point out that recipes call for pumpkin puree, but in this case you call for pumpkin pie. The cans look almost the same. You can tell the difference when you read the ingredients. Pumpkin puree only lists pumpkin, while pumpkin pie filling has ingredients like “pumpkin, water, sugar, salt, spices, natural flavors”

toppings: Just like Disney, you can’t go wrong with a dollop of whipped cream on top. They also added some festive fall sprinkles. You can easily add a little caramel or chocolate syrup. Finally, a sprinkle of crumbled graham crackers also adds a delicious element.

storage: You can keep the smoothie in the fridge for a few hours. Be sure to store it in an airtight container in the coldest part of the refrigerator. If the shakes start to separate, just mix them together before drinking.

This recipe is super easy and definitely tastes like a milkshake from Walt Disney World. If you want to enjoy this copycat recipe at home, we highly recommend giving it a try. 😉
