- 1 pound spaghetti, raw
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- â…“ Cup of extra virgin olive oil
- ÂĽ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ÂĽ cup chopped parsley, optional
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, optional

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add plenty of salt and add the pasta. Cook the pasta until it is chewy.

While cooking the pasta, heat a large saucepan and olive oil over medium to medium-low heat. Add garlic and stir constantly to prevent burning. Boil the garlic until golden brown. Stir in red pepper flakes and remove from heat.

After the pasta is cooked, transfer to the frying pan along with at least ½ cup of pasta water. Toss and combine. If necessary, add parsley and cheese, and gently stir to combine. Serve immediately.
