Rice cracker monster
As Halloween approaches, we have been trying to come up with interesting Halloween gifts that we can chew and use for parties.
Crispy rice crackers are one of our favorites, so we made some different Halloween themed versions-such as Frankenstein shortcakes, candy corn crackers and these monster rice crackers!
We made five different colors-black, lime green, orange, purple and turquoise. Like I said, they are great for Halloween, but they are also great for monster-themed parties.
We also used store-bought rice crackers, but if you are ambitious, you can substitute homemade rice crackers and cut them into rectangles. I’m sure the kids would love to enter the kitchen to help you dip and candy eyes! 😉
How to make monster rice crackers
You can definitely use your favorite recipe to make Krispie rice, then cut them into rectangles and follow the recipe. We just like to use store-bought rice crackers because it is very fast and convenient! Either way, they will taste great.
Prepare. Open the rice crackers (or cut the homemade rice crackers into rectangles).
Great. Add the lollipop stick to the bottom of the snack.
The candy melts. Melt the melted candies according to the instructions on the package (35 melts will cover 3-4m shortbread) and dip the top of the snack into the melted candies. Put it on parchment paper.
Decorate. Press the candy eyes while the candy coating is still wet to allow them to solidify completely. If you want them to set faster, you can store them in the refrigerator-be sure to put the parchment paper on the cookie sheet first!
