Tips + storage information
To cool the cookies: For this recipe, you don’t want to skip the cooling time. Cooling the dough will help make your inside soft and chewy outside. Cooling the dough also allows more time for the ingredients to “settle” and provides you with the perfect biscuit texture. Finally, cooling the dough will help prevent them from spreading in the oven.
Shop The biscuits in the form of dough are baked later or stored biscuits that have already been baked.
- Dough: After mixing the dough, you can cover it and store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. You can also make the dough into balls and freeze them quickly. Place the dough balls on the baking sheet and freeze for several hours. After freezing, put it in a sealed freezer safety container and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw before baking.
- bake: After the biscuits have cooled, store them in an airtight container for 4-5 days. Add a piece of white bread to help keep them soft. They can also be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 months.
