Hot Fudge Sauce – Only 4 Ingredients! +video
Our all-time favorite hot fudge sauce is a family favorite. You only need 4 ingredients – butter, chocolate chips, powdered sugar and evaporated milk.
We love serving this fudge sauce on ice cream, funnel cakes and even fruit! It’s irresistible in every sense, and you’ll find yourself trying not to eat it straight from the jar!
Homemade Chocolate Sauce
I am so excited to share my next recipe with you today!
Let’s just say this is what my hubby begged me to do because he eats it himself straight out of the jar (no kidding!!)
This Homemade Chocolate Fudge Sauce is an easy and delicious recipe for any dessert. We use it on ice cream, especially funnel cake (a recipe I shared earlier today). It takes minutes to assemble and really is the best topping you’ll ever make!
I also love that this is an easy and inexpensive gift idea. Just put it in a lovely mason jar with a ribbon on top and I guarantee the recipient will love you forever.
How to Make Hot Fudge Sauce
As mentioned, you only need 4 ingredients:
- powdered sugar
- evaporated milk
- semisweet chocolate chips
Once you’ve gathered the ingredients, you add them to a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil and cook for 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Enjoy almost anything!
Can this be canned? I do not recommend canning your fudge sauce. If you want to store it, it’s best to store it refrigerated.
Does it need to be reheated every use after making and storing? This sauce can be eaten hot or cold. It can be reheated on the stove or in the microwave, but be sure to heat it slowly so it doesn’t burn. You can also reheat as many times as needed, it shouldn’t change the texture or taste of the sauce.
How can I thicken the chocolate sauce? If you follow the instructions correctly, the chocolate sauce should not be runny. It thickens as it cools. If you want it to thicken as it cools then try adding a little powdered sugar to it. Reheating is required when adding.
How can I make it smoother? If you find your sauce is too thick for your taste, heat it up and add a little more evaporated milk or butter to the sauce.
How to store
Because this sauce stores so well, it’s easy to make advance time. Just store it in an airtight container or jar and put it in the fridge. Slowly rewarm before serving.
Pour fudge sauce into glass jars or airtight containers and seal with lids. shop It lasts up to 1 month in the refrigerator.
you can also freeze Use this sauce later. To freeze, pour the sauce into a jar or freezer container. Let it cool completely. This may take a few hours, you can put it in the refrigerator to cool it faster. Then seal the jar or container with the lid and freeze for 6-12 months.
