5 minutes to prepare!

I’ve never made honey glazed ham myself, but my family loves it for the holidays. So I found a simple but delicious recipe and it turned out to be delicious. It’s juicy and delicious, and most importantly, it’s easy!

It only took 5 minutes to prepare and the slow cooker did the rest. Here’s how it’s done:

Ham. Place the spirally cut ham slices in the slow cooker. For easy cleanup, use a crock liner.

What is Spiral Cut Ham? Because bone-in hams are difficult to carve, spiral cut hams have emerged. Once the ham is fully cooked, the butcher cuts the ham into one continuous spiral. This makes cutting easier and even produces consistent slices.

glaze. Add all ingredients (except ham) to a small pot. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the cloves from the glaze and pour over the ham.

Cook. Cook on low for 4 hours, making sure to coat the ham with the glaze every hour.

Tips for buying and preparing ham:

What size ham should I buy? If ham is the main course, you need to plan for ⅓ to Âœ pound per person. If you want some leftovers, add a pound or two. Also keep in mind the size of your slow cooker. A 6-8 quart slow cooker can usually hold 6-7 pounds of ham. I recommend that you choose natural juice ham. Avoid ham in water.

How long can spiral cut ham keep before cooking‱ You can store wrapped spiral cut ham in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or 1-2 months in the refrigerator.

Thaw frozen ham in the refrigerator. You need to plan for 4-6 hours per pound. You can speed up the process by placing the ham in a plastic bag and submerging it in cold tap water. Change the water every 30 minutes until the ham is defrosted.

To add flavor, Try pinning pineapple and/or black cherries to the ham. Secure them in place with toothpicks.
