How to store
This sauce can indeed be made for a few cups, but if you double it and find that you have made too much, or want to make a bunch in advance, it is easy to store.
- Store in the refrigerator – Scoop into a muffin tin and put in the refrigerator until set. Remove the cubes from the muffin tins and place them in a freezer container or a frozen Ziploc bag. Freeze for up to 3 months. To use, thaw overnight and heat in the microwave or melt in a small pot until the sauce becomes smooth.
- Store in the refrigerator – Pour into a jar, close the lid, and store in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.
Whether you use this sauce, you must try it in your next homemade pizza. You can make a large batch and freeze or refrigerate for later use.
