fun holiday snacks

As soon as my kids get home from school, they go to the kitchen for a snack. Sometimes I eat traditional snacks like chocolate chip cookies, and sometimes I eat healthier snacks like these delicious energy snacks.

When the holidays roll around, my kids think it’s fun to have themed treats.I have a few Healthier Halloween Treats and some lists sweeter snacks I know your kids will love as much as mine. Before I share it with you, I have some quick tips for dressing up snacks!

If you don’t have time to make one of these specific snacks, here’s one of my secrets: Candy Eyes! Add candy eyes to just about anything you have on hand and it magically turns into a creepy Halloween treat. Other things you can add include:

  • Orange, Brown and Yellow M&Ms or Reeses Pieces
  • Halloween themed sprinkles
  • Plastic Halloween toys such as eyeballs or spiders (make sure they’re big enough not to be accidentally eaten)

Another fun and easy way to decorate a snack is in a container. You can buy Halloween-themed plastic or paper bags as well as bowls and plates.

Healthier Halloween Snacks:

Since there’s so much candy and sweets at this time of year, it’s nice to take a break from all that sugar. These are some easy ways to make for healthier kids.
