We love Asian recipes at home, especially when they’re easy! This classic dish is full of flavor and goes perfectly with some fried rice and egg rolls.

You may have noticed that our family loves any Asian type of recipe. Yep – we’re a little obsessed! We recently tried this easy beef and broccoli for dinner and everyone loved it.
We’ve been long-time fans of the beef + broccoli pairing and love the delicious Asian twist when you add the sauce and sesame seeds. Serve it over rice or noodles and you’re ready to go!
The recipe is also simple, which means this will be the go-to. We ended up blanching the broccoli so the photo looked greener, but you can also omit this step to shorten the time.
Tips for Cooking with Beef

- What other cuts of beef can I use? Whatever you have on hand will work. For this recipe we used roast beef chucks, the original recipe used round roasts. A very common cut that people use is flank steak.

- Boil water in a pot.
- Place broccoli florets in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
- Drain and place immediately in cold water.
- Once cool drain and dry the broccoli.

Freezer Meal + Reheat
Can I make beef and broccoli as a freezer meal? Yes! Don’t you like this answer? Simply mix the sauce. Place beef and 1 cup sauce in a ziploc bag. Put the rest of the sauce in a separate ziplock bag.
Place the blanched broccoli florets in the third zip lock. Label each bag and store in the refrigerator for up to 6 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and cook according to the recipe instructions.
