Favorite dips that are easy to make in the slow cooker
Let’s observe a moment of silence for the slow cooker. We love having delicious crock pot recipes on hand and wanted to adapt our classic Buffalo Chicken Dip to a slow cooker version.
This Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip is creamy, cheesy, and a little tangy. It’s the perfect appetizer to serve in a small or large group.
The slow cooker helps melt all the cheese and keep it warm while serving. You don’t even need to transfer it to another dish! Just take it out of the crock pot if you like.
I love all the shredded chicken in this recipe. So delicious mixed with all the melted cheese. Grab some of your favorite fries and start dipping!
How to Make Buffalo Dip in a Crock Pot
What do you need for this recipe?
- Shredded Chicken: You can cook your chicken however you want – boil, roast, cook on the stove – then chop it up! You can even use canned chicken if you’re short on time.
- Buffalo Sauce (or Favorite Hot Sauce)
- ranch dressing
- cream cheese
- cheddar cheese
- crumbled blue cheese (optional)
combine. To do this, you will place the shredded chicken and hot sauce in a pot over medium heat. Mix together to mix. Add the cream cheese and mix well. Then stir in the ranch dressing. Add about 1 cup cheddar cheese, stir and heat everything until cheese is melted.
Cylinder. Pour the dip into the crock pot and top with the remaining cheese. When serving, keep the crock pot on low heat. This will keep the cheese fresh, hot and melty! That’s it! The easiest appetizer, and it’s delicious.
Cheese Tips and Storage
Cheddar cheese is what I recommend For this recipe, but you can also add a little crumbled blue cheese to the dip if you want! I also love sharp cheddar – it’s tastier. Remember, if you shred your own cheese, it will melt better than pre-shredded cheese.
If you don’t have cream cheese, you can Substitute for cottage cheese or yogurt!
If you still have any dipping sauces, just shop In an airtight container, reheat in the microwave when you’re ready to enjoy again.
This will be your new favorite appetizer!
