Crispy Baked Buffalo Wings Recipe Easy Appetizer

Crispy Baked Buffalo Wings Recipe Easy Appetizer

Hot wings are a staple for any party or gathering. This easy recipe will show you how to make this appetizer in the oven for crispy, grilled hot wings.

No party goes without delicious appetizers like hot wings, meatballs, and dips. This classic party food is great year-round and healthier than frying.

classic appetizer

We love appetizers and this next recipe is one we’ve been making for as long as I can remember. We’ve always loved spicy chicken wings and ended up making this baked version for so many parties and gatherings.

We’ve made regular hot chicken wings, boneless buffalo wings, and many other buffalo-inspired recipes in the past, but these grilled buffalo wings are a favorite because they’re easy and crispy (try our buffalo cauliflower if you want to stay healthy).

How to make hot wings crispy? Crispy Hot Wings are definitely the best! The trick to making sure they’re crispy without frying is to coat them with a little flour and baking powder.

Doing this helps the wings get nice and crispy as they bake.

How to Make Hot Fins

As mentioned, these Baked Buffalo Wings are easy and only require a few steps.

wing preparation. Rinse the wings first (cut off excess fat) and pat dry (you will definitely leave the skin on the wings as this helps them get crispy).

Then, place the wings in a plastic bag filled with flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and a pinch of pepper. When you dig chicken wings in flour, it helps them get crispy as they bake.

bake. Place wings in a single layer on a greased, foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for about 30 minutes, making sure to turn them halfway through (at 15 minutes).

Sauce. While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce by mixing 12 oz. Buffalo sauce, a few cups Worcestershire sauce, and ¼ to ½ cup butter. You will melt the two together until combined and heated.

Once the wings are baked, you’ll toss them into the sauce and serve them hot.

How many wings are in a batch? There are usually 4-6 wings per pound, and since this recipe calls for 4 pounds, you should be able to provide the amount to make wings for 4 people.

This will vary, but it depends on who is eating and what other food is being served.

Recipe Changes and Storage

Grilled Wing Variations: We love how easy this recipe is to change. We love our buffalo sauce, but we also recommend trying other sauces for more variation on the grilled wings. Here are some of our other favorites:

  • barbecue
  • Teriyaki
  • Honey BBQ
  • dear Dijon

How to store grilled buffalo wings? We usually store any leftover wings (if available) in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

They usually keep for 2-3 days, to heat we usually use the microwave, but to keep crispy we recommend putting them back in the oven for a few minutes until heated,

Endless possibilities

We’ve made several versions, including BBQ and teriyaki, but the regular ol’ Hot Wings have always been my favorite. They are especially delicious with a homemade ranch dressing.

If you love them too and want to make them for an event or party, I highly recommend this recipe. Super easy! !
