Pepper’s Imitation Salsa

Do you like appetizers? ? We love them a little bit (a lot!) In our family, there are always a lot at family gatherings and parties. The appetizers we will always have are French fries and salsa.

Since we lived in Texas, the salsa recipe I shared today has always been our favorite. When we moved to Texas, there was no Chili’s restaurant near us, because we liked their salsa, so I wanted to try a copycat version.

I’m glad we did it, because it’s popular and very similar to Chili’s (if you like Chili’s too, be sure to check out our imitating queso and imitating enchilada soup).

How to make chili salsa:

This mimic salsa only requires a few ingredients.

  • Canned tomatoes
  • Fresh tomatoes
  • black pepper
  • seasoning
  • sugar

All you have to do isThrow it into the blender Or a food processor, and stir until it’s all mixed! It’s that simple.

Recipe tips:

  • Don’t puree: chop up large pieces, but you don’t want soup
  • Turn up the heat by adding more jalapeno
  • Letting the salsa sit for a few hours will help to mix all the flavors together, but it can be eaten immediately.
  • My favorite storage method is in a mason jar in the refrigerator.

store: The taste of salsa is always the best in the first few days, but it will keep in the refrigerator for up to several weeks.

Great gift: This is an easy-to-make salsa. I like to double the recipe so that I have extra things to give to neighbors and friends. With a bag of potato chips, it is also a great teacher gift for teachers.
