We love the Mexican food at this house. When it comes to dim sum time, we often gravitate towards that dish because it’s quick and easy, and it’s so good! Favorite snack is everything you can dip. We love both sweet and savory dips.
The recipe I’m sharing today is Cheesy Black Bean Dip. Like I said, we’re big ladlers in the family, so the kids are happy to have a tasty and portable snack.
Perfect for an adventure in the park, or as an afternoon snack. It would also be great for any party or celebration. It’s easy to make and ends up being cheesy and delicious.
Black Bean Dip
Prepare. Preheat oven to 325.
combine. Combine black beans, sour cream, cream cheese, green chiles, and salsa in a food processor until smooth. Add 1 cup cheese and pour into baking dish.
bake. Top with ½ – 1 cup more cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
Serve. Top with chopped tomatoes, cilantro and olives. Service warm and enjoyable!

- You can also use carrots or celery sticks or carrots.

Spicy: You can add deseeded and chopped jalapeños for extra spice. You can also use a spicier salsa to boost the spice level and flavor.
Blender: If you don’t have a food processor, you can easily use a blender. If your blender isn’t very powerful, you’ll have to break everything down in small batches before putting it back together.
shop Leftover dipping sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Serve warm or cold!
do it in advance: Since this dip will last a while, you can make it ahead of time and keep it until you’re ready to reheat and serve.
freeze: Let cool completely after baking, then place in a freezer-safe container and cover tightly. It should keep for about 2 months in the refrigerator. Let it thaw overnight in the refrigerator, then reheat in the oven, covered.
