The best and easiest queso blanco recipe out there. This delicious dipping sauce is ready quickly and will be the perfect complement to your next gathering, especially with nachos and vegetables.

We always serve queso blanco as an appetizer on party or game night. It is perfect to pair with vegetable appetizers, such as fried zucchini, and meat appetizers, such as meatballs or bacon cigarettes!

Best white cheese dip

We like to soak at home, there are always at least one or two in each party. One of our favorites is the Queso Burger-it’s easy, cheesy, and made in a slow cooker. Our other favorite dipping sauce recipe is Queso Blanco-a white cheese dipping sauce that is a great appetizer!

To be honest, we think Queso Blanco is almost one of the most addictive dip recipes you have ever tried! The best part of this recipe is that it takes about 3-5 minutes to make-perfect for when you need a simple recipe to prepare a party.

We like to dip hot corn flakes in this dipping sauce at parties. It is also suitable for any Mexican meal, and it will be delicious with tacos, burritos and jalapenos.

You will make a batter for this recipe, which is a mixture of fat (butter or oil) and flour used as a thickener.

How to make Queso Blanco

As we mentioned, this queso cheese is made in about 5 minutes. To make it, first melt the butter in a pot. Add flour and stir until foaming (this creates a batter, once milk is added, it acts as a thickener).

Add whole milk and mix well. Add garlic powder, onion powder and chili powder. Finally add the cheese and stir until smooth.

Garnish with tomatoes and coriander before serving.

If you notice that the texture of the dipping sauce has deteriorated, There may be several reasons. Here are some ideas/fixes:

  • Heat too fast and/or cook too long.
  • Your milk does not have enough fat-be sure to use whole milk or 2%
  • You are using pre-shredded cheese. They have an anti-stick coating, which may damage the texture of the dip.
  • It has cooled down. Keep the cheese warm or it may start to harden and set.

I’ve never dipped this in a clay pot because it only takes 10 minutes to cook, but I do Use a small slow cooker to keep warm! It would be great if you put it outside and let people eat snacks all night.
