How to choose avocados?
Avocado tips: Use the information below to help you choose avocados. In addition to overripe avocados, I usually buy 2-3 types so that I can eat fully ripe avocados throughout the week. The avocado matures from the tree. To test an avocado, hold it in the palm of your hand and gently press it with your fingers.
- If the avocado has many benefits and feels mushy, then it is too ripe and keep it on the market.
- If the avocado has a certain amount of elasticity and feels soft, then it is very suitable for use within 2-3 days before overripe.
- Avocados that are somewhat elastic but still feel firm are marked as “broken” and are almost ripe. Let it stand at room temperature for another 1-2 days to fully mature.
- An avocado that feels completely hard will take 4-5 days to fully ripen at room temperature.
- To slow down the ripening process, store avocados in the refrigerator. A fully ripe avocado can be stored at room temperature for 2-3 days or in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
Variations of Baked Avocado Egg + Tips
There are many ways to change grilled avocado eggs and add a little flavor. Here are some suggestions:
- Mexico-Use Mexican cheese and add chopped or green chilies
- Greek-use feta cheese and sausage instead of bacon. You can also add chopped spinach!
- 3 Meat-use mozzarella cheese, add bacon, ham and sausage to eggs
Can I freeze bacon and egg avocados? Although raw avocados can be successfully frozen, these roasted avocados are best eaten right away. They can be kept in the refrigerator for 1-2 days and reheated, but I do not recommend freezing them.
Ok! I admit that I sometimes eat avocados for breakfast or lunch, but it’s better to eat with hard-boiled eggs, cheese and bacon in between!
