Ambrosia Fruit Salad with Mini Marshmallows
This delicious salad will take you back to your childhood. The best creamy fruit salad mixed with mini marshmallows!
Ambrosia salad literally screams in summer! This is one of my favorite summer side dishes to bring to BBQs and potlucks. It’s light, creamy, and sweet, just like cheesecake fruit salad and pistachio salad.
Marshmallow Fruit Salad
What is a delicious salad? There are many versions of it, but it’s a fruit salad that almost always includes coconut, which makes it a delicious salad to try.
I mean, what’s better than marshmallows and sweet fruit mixed with whipped cream? Yes, please! This is the perfect salad for pot luck, summer picnics, family gatherings, pool parties and more!
This is definitely our go-to salad recipe when we go to summer parties. It’s chilled, sweet and the perfect side dish to any meal!
crafting + skills
To start this delicious salad, add the cream and sugar to a Kitchen Aid mixing bowl and beat until stiff peaks form. Add the sour cream and stir until combined. Stir in mini marshmallows, oranges, pineapple, strawberries, coconut, pecans and cherries until combined.
Transfer to a medium bowl, cover and refrigerate for at least an hour or two before serving. That’s it. It’s easy, right?
Wondering what other ingredients you can add to this salad? Try some of them:
- banana
- cottage cheese
- blueberry
- cube apple
- grape slices
- chopped nuts
in advance: Feel free to make this salad a day ahead – this will help it stay properly refrigerated before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator, or cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. If stored properly, the leftover delicious salad will keep for about 3 days.
