With only 1-3 ingredients, even those without cabinets should be able to find enough to make something delicious!

Many of these recipes are also well preserved. Usually I double the recipe so I can keep the extra in the fridge for later.

Another aspect I love about these recipes is how different seasonings and cooking methods can turn even the most basic ingredients into completely different dishes; for example, a simple potato can be baked, fried, roasted, or mashed.

Shredded meat, such as beef chicken or pork, are other great basic/multipurpose ingredients. If you make shredded pork, you can use some of it in tacos, add it to soups or casseroles, mix it with BBQ sauce and put it on bread, etc.
