We recently had some smelly delicacies at a New Year’s party, and I knew I had to try it. I did it…I fell in love with these Crockport Meatballs! I got the recipe and have made it several times since. Frozen meatballs are perfect for this, but if you want to try homemade meatballs, you can try our recipe here.

My husband especially likes this recipe and has asked for it a few times since the New Year party and I am glad he did it because they are so good! When we are entertaining, we really try to better choose simple and delicious recipes, because we know that preparation activities require a lot of work-cleaning, cooking, etc.

One of the main ingredients of these slow cooker meatballs is jelly. We used red currant jelly, but other jellies also work well. Other ingredients required for this recipe include:

  • ketchup
  • chili sauce
  • Lemon juice
  • brown sugar
  • water
  • Ginger

You might think jelly with meatballs would be weird, but its combination with the above ingredients and meatballs is more delicious than sweet, oh, so delicious!

  2. Add the frozen meatballs and stir to coat the meatballs with the sauce.
