Soft Cheesecake Fruit Salad+VIDEO

This cheesecake fruit salad is the perfect combination of cream, lightness and freshness! Stir fresh berries into the cream cheese pudding mixture-this is the perfect side, or crepe filling!

This creamy salad is rich in fruit and is perfect as a filling or side dish for any barbecue or summer party. It is a delicacy with our fruit dip and fruit pizza!

So fruity + delicious!

As the weather started to get warmer, I started to enjoy barbecues, salads and cool desserts.

If you have been a fan of the site, you may have seen Dirt Cake’s recipe-this is one of our favorite cool desserts of all time. It has the best cheesecake pudding base. I like it very much. I have used it in other recipes, such as Paradise Parfait and today’s cheesecake fruit salad.

We have always liked dipping our fruit with cream cheese and knew that it would be great when mixed with fresh berries.

Everyone who has tried it loves it. Not only is it great as a side dish, but it can also make great Swedish pancakes or crepe fillings.

How to make cheesecake salad

Beat the cream cheese and margarine (or butter, if you like) together until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix, then fold in a cool whip.

In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, vanilla, and pudding mixture. After all is mixed, fold it into the cream cheese mixture. Fold the berries and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. It’s that simple!

We have made it several times since we originally made it, and are happy to add a new favorite treat to some upcoming family events such as Easter.

If you like berry and cheesecake type cream desserts, then you will love this berry cheesecake salad.

Apart from berries, are there other fruits that I can eat? Although this was written as a berry cheesecake recipe, you can mix any fruits you like.

The total amount of fruit contained in the cheesecake salad should be about 3 cups. However, I will avoid fruits that retain a lot of water (such as pineapple or watermelon). Other great fruits include:

  • Kiwi
  • banana
  • Citrus
  • blueberry

Advance and store

How do you store this recipe and how long can it be kept? When storing, please keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will last up to 3 days, but the juice will start to soak the salad.

Can this be done in advance? This dish is best made on the same day. If you need to make one day in advance, we recommend preparing the berries (washed, dried, cut, etc.) and cheesecake pudding separately, and then store them in the refrigerator until they can be mixed and eaten.
