Today we are going to make a delicious dessert version of Eight Treasure Rice. It is sweet and smooth, making it a perfect dessert. I like to sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg on top and eat it while it is hot. It has such a delicious unique flavor and texture!

How to make rice pudding

The best rice to use when making rice pudding is medium-grain white rice. Medium grain rice makes it a bit sticky and gives it the creamy texture you look for in rice pudding.

Plain rice. In a saucepan, bring 1.5 cups of water to a boil over high heat. After the water boils, pour in the rice and stir fry. Turn down the heat and cover the pot. Simmer the rice for 20 minutes. Before proceeding to the next step, make sure that the rice is thoroughly cooked.

pudding. Transfer the cooked rice to a clean pan. Add 1 cup and ½ cup halves, sugar and salt. Cook this mixture over medium heat until it becomes creamy-about 15-20 minutes.
