Oven-roasted chicken drumsticks are a healthy alternative for fried chicken lovers! They are seasoned and baked, not fried!

These delicious oven-roasted chicken drumsticks are as crispy and delicious as their deep-fried alternatives, but without fat! These baked beauties are delicious with buttermilk biscuits, cheese Hasselblad potatoes and roasted green beans.

When I am motivated to eat healthier, it seems that I only eat chicken. Although there are many ways to make chicken, sometimes it still gets old. So, we are always looking for new ways to change chicken dishes, such as this oven roasted chicken recipe!

These drumsticks are easy to put together and are very popular among everyone in the family. The batter on the chicken is light and delicious, just right enough for you to lick your fingers. The best part is that it tastes like KFC fried chicken, but they are not fried at all-they are grilled! !

I am surprised that they taste so good after baking, but they do, which means that when I have some, I feel less guilty. 😉When a recipe tastes so good and so simple, it is the winner in my book.

How to roast chicken drumsticks

  • 2-3 TB butter or margarine
  • 2/3 c Bisquick mix
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 3 pounds chicken drumsticks
  • Spray butter
  • Preheat the oven to 425.

  • Melt the butter in a 9×13 baking pan in the oven.

  • When the butter melts, put the Bisquick, chili powder, salt and pepper in a bowl and stir. Spread melted butter on each chicken drum and place it in a 9×13 area.

  • Spray butter once before putting it in the oven and during baking.
