Quick + Easy Tortellini Salad

My family gets together for dinner almost every Sunday. My mom always made the main course, and then whoever came that week would get an assignment, whether it was a side dish, a salad, or a dessert.

Every child has been known for certain dishes over the years, and often gets the same assignments depending on the type of meal (Italian, Mexican, etc.).

A dish my sister makes a lot is fried zucchini. I almost always make desserts. My sister always makes one of two salads she is famous for – ramen salad and today’s tortellini salad.

They are both recipes that the whole family loves, so we eat them often. When I first had this salad years ago, I was a little skeptical about the taste, but I absolutely loved it. Tortellini is the perfect addition to this salad, making it everyone’s favorite.

I’ve brought it to a few functions and I never come home with any leftovers, making it a huge hit. We especially like to do it in the summer.

How to Make Tortellini Salad

This salad recipe is quick and easy!

The most time-consuming thing is cooking the tortellini (you can choose what you like, but we love Buitoni’s classic cheese tortellini), but once it’s done, you only have a few minutes to prepare.

Floor. Pour lettuce into bottom of 9×13 pan. Arrange cooked tortellini and sliced grape tomatoes over lettuce.

pasture. Drizzle with ranch and bacon bits before serving.

addition: This salad is simple, delicious and easy to customize to your liking. Add more or less of our suggested ingredients. You can also add other ingredients like red onion, diced avocado, or spinach leaves. Be creative and most importantly, enjoy every bite!

bacon pieces: You can easily use bacon bits from the grocery store, I’m in a pinch. However, freshly cooked bacon tastes best. I recommend using this easy bacon in oven recipes.

Leading + Storage

This salad can pre-made. To do this, prepare the salad, but separate the bacon and ranch just before serving.

Once ready to serve, drizzle over the ranch and bacon bits.

storage, we recommend placing in an airtight container for up to 1 day. Salads tend to get soggy, especially if seasoned, so salads won’t store for long.

We love this salad in Italian meals, although it really goes with anything!

Also, if you’ve never used Tortellini, you can find it in the freezer section of your grocery store. I don’t know the first time I made this and spent a long time looking for it – haha! Hope that helps. 🙂
