Instant Pot Instructions
The Instant Pot is a great way to make this chicken, especially if you’re short on time. Another plus, unlike a crock pot, you can use it to cook frozen chicken. Put all ingredients in the Instant Pot. Set high pressure for 10-12 minutes (check your Instant Pot manual to verify time). Once the time is up, let the stress naturally release and serve.
Tips and Troubleshooting
What if the sauce is too thick or too runny? This is a very simple fix. If the sauce is too thick, just add a little water. If it’s too thin, you have more options. Try adding more cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, or cornstarch slurry. This is made by mixing 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon cold water in a bowl. Once it’s smooth, stir it into the sauce. Repeat as necessary.
Add to. This ranch chicken is versatile and you can eat it with a variety of additives. Here are some suggestions:
- Add green beans, broccoli, asparagus, bell pepper, diced potatoes
- Use Jalapeno Cream Cheese
- Add bacon chunks on top
Can I make Crockpot Farm Chicken ahead of time? Not only does using a crock pot make this meal easy, but making it ahead can also be super easy. Once the dish is cooked, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
Thaw, and if applicable, reheat in crock pot, stovetop or even oven. Since the chicken is already cooked, you just need to cook it long enough to heat it up. (These instructions also apply to leftovers.)
