Today’s recipe is super easy but delicious Ranch Chicken cooked the easy way – in the slow cooker!

One of my favorite things about this recipe is that the ingredients are something I always have handy in the kitchen. My second favorite thing (or maybe related to the first) is how easy this recipe is to put together.

Dinner can be a challenge at times, so when I find a recipe that makes my life easier, I stick to it. This slow cooker farm chicken recipe is so easy and loved by the entire crew, we will definitely be making it again.

To change it up, we could add different vegetables, but carrots are a family favorite and they make a great addition to this recipe.

How to Make Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken

Put in a crock pot. Combine soup and ranch seasoning in a 5-7 quart slow cooker. Gradually add water, stirring to prevent lumps. Stir in baby carrots. Add chicken.

Slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-5 hours. Add the cream cheese cubes and Parmesan cheese 30 minutes before the minimum cooking time. Cover and continue to cook for 30 minutes.

Instant Pot Instructions

The Instant Pot is a great way to make this chicken, especially if you’re short on time. Another plus, unlike a crock pot, you can use it to cook frozen chicken. Put all ingredients in the Instant Pot. Set high pressure for 10-12 minutes (check your Instant Pot manual to verify time). Once the time is up, let the stress naturally release and serve.

Tips and Troubleshooting

What if the sauce is too thick or too runny? This is a very simple fix. If the sauce is too thick, just add a little water. If it’s too thin, you have more options. Try adding more cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, or cornstarch slurry. This is made by mixing 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon cold water in a bowl. Once it’s smooth, stir it into the sauce. Repeat as necessary.
