Pretzel Toffee Recipe (+Video) | Little Luna
Simple, quick and delicious pretzel toffee recipe. This kind of hospitality is perfect for enjoying and giving gifts during the holiday season. Just a few ingredients and you are ready!
If you like regular toffee, you will like this pretzel version. If you like candies, you will also like our Christmas candies or homemade turtle candies.
Pretzel + toffee is the best combination
We like to make snacks, especially sweets around the holidays. A new food we tried recently is pretzel toffee. We made it a few weeks ago and we made a white chocolate and a regular chocolate version. Both are welcomed by the whole family.
Not only is this great for serving at parties, or making “just because”, but we also like to give it away to others. It can be easily put into a container, wrapped in a beautiful bow, and given to friends, neighbors, teachers, etc. Honestly-it is always popular!
How to make pretzel toffee
This recipe is easier to make than you think!
Preheat the oven to 350. Add parchment paper to the cookie sheet. Spread the pretzels in a single layer on the parchment paper and set aside.
Melt butter and brown sugar in a pot. Cook on medium heat for 7-8 minutes or until brown.
Pour the toffee mixture over the pretzel, making sure to cover all the pretzel. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Take out and place 2 cups of your favorite chocolate chips (we made half of it and used 1 cup of white chocolate chips and 1 cup of milk chocolate chips). Let the potato chips melt for a few minutes, then spread with a spatula to cover the toffee layer. Sprinkle any ingredients you want.
Cool or refrigerate at room temperature until hard.Cut into small pieces and put in an airtight container in the refrigerator
Let’s talk about pretzels…
- We used pretzel, but you can easily use sticks
- You don’t need to break them off before placing them on the paper, but you can do so if you want.
- You can add more or less pretzel, depending on your preference
What’s on top? We sprinkled toffee on top, but you can use your favorite toppings, such as:
- Light rain
- Chopped nuts
- Crumbled graham crackers
- sea salt
- Toasted coconut
How to store: Use an airtight container when storing, and coat the middle of the toffee with wax or parchment paper. Store in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.
We love this recipe! It’s so good and easy to make! ! We hope you like it!
