How To Make Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Nothing says fall like roasted pumpkin seeds! This is one of my favorite traditions this time of year. Pumpkin seeds are the best savory snack ever!
Pumpkin seeds can be sprinkled over salads for extra crunch and flavor, or they’re a great stand-alone snack. They’re just baked in the oven (like another favorite fall snack – apple slices)!
Don’t throw them!
I’ve been roasting pumpkin seeds with my kids for as long as I can remember! As a growing family, we did the same. This is one of the best holiday traditions.
We love carving pumpkins, collecting seeds, and roasting them in the oven for a savory fall treat. have you tried it? They are crunchy and delicious!

Tips for cleaning seeds
It can sometimes be difficult to figure out how to remove all the pumpkin slime from the pumpkin seeds after carving the pumpkin. Here are some tips:
- Scoop the seeds into a colander. Water the seeds and separate the squash guts from the seeds.
- Boil the seeds in salted water for 20 minutes (it does a good job of cleaning the seeds).
- Drain and pour them onto cookie sheets. Let them sit for a day or night to dry.
This will also help pick out the remaining pumpkin pieces that have dried on the seeds. Drying them will also help them bake better in the oven.
How to Roast Pumpkin Seeds
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly spray. shelved. Place pumpkin seeds in a bowl with melted butter and garlic salt. Toss the seeds onto the coat.
