Easy, Sweet Carrots
Can you guys believe that Easter is just around the corner?
We love all the holidays here and have been busy putting together the menu – from mains to side dishes. One of the sides we plan to make is Honey Glazed Carrots, along with some of our other classics like rolls and mashed potatoes.
If you haven’t made these before, they are one of the easiest and most delicious side dishes you can make. They’re delicious, soft and perfect for any dinner (especially holiday dinners).
How to Make Honeydew Carrots
We love how easy these carrots are!
To make them, add some water to a medium pot and bring to a boil. Add the carrots and cook for about 5 to 8 minutes (small carrots will be shorter, larger carrots will be slightly longer). You can pierce them with a fork to make sure they are tender.
Drain and add butter, honey and lemon juice. Cook for another 5 minutes or so, until the carrots are coated with a glaze.
Add garlic salt, pepper and dried parsley and serve hot.
More cooking instructions
Follow these instructions for more ways to cook these honey carrots. đ
in the slow cooker. Place carrots in a greased crock pot. Combine melted butter, honey, lemon juice, garlic salt, pepper and water. Drizzle the carrots and stir until the carrots are coated. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or until carrots are tender.
in the oven. Put your baby carrots in a buttered casserole and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with honey and lemon juice and drizzle over 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
in the Instant Pot. To cook in an Instant Pot or pressure cooker, place all ingredients in the pot, cover and secure the vents. Set the pot to “Sealed” and press the “Pressure Cook” or “Manual” button. Set the timer to 3 minutes. When done, manually release the pressure by switching the vent to “Vent”.
