We can’t get enough of these crispy heavens. We like to make fried green peas for game day appetizers, afternoon snacks or dinner parties with friends and family! Make sure to have some dipping sauce on hand-we like to dip our dipping sauce in cold ranch dressing.

I love the satisfying crunch of each bite of these mung bean fries. We always fry a large batch of such delicacies because they have not been eaten by my family for long-they are so delicious! The green beans remain soft, while the crumbs are just right.

If you have never fried your green beans before, now is your chance! You will fall in love with this appetizer/snack idea.

How to make fried green beans

Making these mung bean fries is much easier than you think. Don’t be implied by the frying part-I will take you through it!

Blanche. First, you need to boil a pot of water, then boil the beans for about 2 minutes or until they turn bright green to blanch the green beans. Immediately add the beans to the ice bath (a bowl of ice water). Drain the beans and pat dry with a paper towel.

coat. At the same time, heat the oil at medium high temperature in a large pan or deep fryer. While the oil is heating up, add the flour to the bowl, put the beaten eggs in another bowl, and put the breadcrumbs in another bowl. Scoop out the green beans in the flour, transfer to the egg mixture and coat. Add to the breadcrumbs and make sure the whole beans are coated.

saute. Fry the green beans in oil until golden brown (approximately 4 minutes). After they are fried, add them to a dish lined with paper towels to drain the excess oil.

Serve immediately! Here are some dip ideas:

bake. If you prefer to make these in the oven, place them in a single layer on a greased baking pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown. Simple!

Air fryer. Do you have an air fryer? Put the breaded green beans in a 390 degree air fryer for about 5 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Leftovers? I don’t recommend storing these leftovers of mung bean fries. They are definitely best eaten as soon as they are cooked. If you keep the leftovers and reheat them, they will start to get wet. I promise you will not have any leftovers, because these are so delicious! !
