Weekly Meal Plan #4
Every week, I’ll share with you a free meal plan that includes 5 dinner ideas (Monday-Thursday plus a weekend meal), 2 side dishes, and 1 dessert!
This includes a grocery list with every ingredient needed for all items in the meal plan.
This is to help simplify menu planning, shopping and cooking, making it easier for you to dine with your family throughout the week!
Tips of the week
It’s no secret that we’re huge Disney fans here! This week’s corn dog recipe is a Disneyland copycat + favorite, of course! Some of the other favorite Disneyland parody recipes are Mint Juleps, Monte Cristo sandwiches, and the famous Dole Whip.

Meal Plan Benefits
There’s nothing worse than fear when family members ask, “What’s for dinner?” And your answer is “I don’t know”. A week meal plan eliminates that completely, and it’s the number one benefit in my book!
In addition to developing a game plan, there are Several other benefits meal plan, include:
- cost: When you have a plan and a specific grocery list in place, you can eliminate the cost of wasting on impulse items or products you never use.
- reduce waste: No money wasted, no food wasted! Having a regular shopping list will help avoid both problems.
- type: Our meal plans specifically include a variety of options, including Mexican, Italian, dinner breakfast, and more! You can let your family taste a variety of cuisines.
- No indecision: Did you know there is “indecision fatigue”? The idea is that when you can’t decide something (like what to do for dinner), it actually wears you out mentally. But when dinner is already planned, you can avoid indecision altogether!
- healthy: When you plan/anticipate making well-rounded meals, you’re more likely to actually make them than to default to a convenient box lunch or unhealthy fast food!
As you can see, meal planning has many benefits!

Creamy Chicken Enchiladas
Creamy Chicken Enchiladas with chicken, sour cream, cream cheese and more stuffed into soft flour tortillas. These are the creamiest chicken enchiladas you can find!
Even if they’re not included in this week’s side dishes, we love to combine these enchiladas with some Mexican rice or homemade salsa (or both!). Neither requires a lot of ingredients, but make sure to add them to your shopping list.
Pasta in Primavera
A delicious pasta filled with vegetables like zucchini, squash, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Even the kids don’t mind all the veggies in this pasta because it’s one of our go-to pasta dishes.
Serve with Olive Garden Breadsticks included in this week’s plan!
Sausage Breakfast Casserole
Sausage Breakfast Casserole is made with eggs, sausage, milk, cheese, and seasoning, all on a crescent-shaped slice! This is the perfect way to start your morning!
This casserole is light and refreshing, including a fruit salad on this week’s menu. Or, try a fruity smoothie like our Kale Smoothie, Blueberry Smoothie or Peach Mango Smoothie!
Homemade Corn Dogs
You can find knockoff versions of the famous hand-dipped corn dogs at Disneyland! This recipe is super easy and makes a delicious corn dog that will make you never want to buy the store again!
We love these alone or some homemade fries!
Bruschetta
Grilled Chicken Bruschetta marinated in Italian dressing and topped with cheese. This is an easy and delicious chicken recipe.
Fruit salad or breadsticks would work with this chicken, but we also like to grill some grilled Parmesan asparagus. They fit together perfectly!
Our top two picks
This Easy Fruit Salad Makes the perfect side dish for any meal! It’s colorful, healthy, delicious, and loaded with your favorite fruit!
We like to use strawberries, blackberries, grapes, kiwi and pineapple. However, if you have leftovers from last week’s meal plan, you can always add some watermelon wedges.
Just like the original, these copycats Olive Garden Breadsticks Light and airy on the inside, seasoned with butter and garlic salt on the outside. You can never eat just one!
This pair goes great with Pasta Primavera on Tuesday, but any leftovers can be easily reheated later in the week to serve with Bruschetta chicken.
