Taco Casserole + Doritos

This recipe combines two of my favorite things-Dorito potato chips and taco casserole flavors. good to eat!

Casserole is one of my favorite things to make for dinner. They are very simple and always delicious. The whole family loves them.

They can also travel well and feed a group of people, so they are very suitable to take to a friend’s house or cook for a group of people.

This Dorito casserole is like an unbeatable cheesy taco salad casserole! I like all the Mexican flavors mixed with crisp Dorito chips. Each layer has a different taste, all of which are combined together for an incredible bite!

How to layer

Boil beef. Before you start laying the casserole, cook the ground beef in a pan until brown.

Add to. Drain the fat, add taco seasoning, sour cream and half of the hot sauce (try our homemade green hot sauce). Now you are ready to layer!

Floor. Grease a 9×13 pan, and then:

  • Layer ⅓ The Doritos at the bottom of the plate, crush them lightly.
  • Next, add Âœ of the ground beef mixture.
  • Then ⅓ the cheese.
  • Add another layer ⅓ Doritos, crush slightly, the remaining ground beef and ⅓ cheese.
  • Add the reamed slices and cheese on top.

bake. Cover the casserole with foil (set up a tent so that the melted cheese will not stick to the foil). Bake the Dorito casserole for 30 minutes. Remove the tin foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Let the casserole sit for about 5 minutes. Top with tomatoes, avocado and coriander. You can add any other toppings you like. Guacamole, salsa or sour cream and more!

Feel free to change some ingredients——You can use turkey powder instead of beef powder. Or red enchiladas instead of green. You can even use regular corn flakes instead of Doritos. Any vegetables can also be added. Chili will be great. The possibilities are endless!

What to serve it?

You absolutely need to pair this casserole with your favorite nachos! You can also put warm homemade tortillas on the side. Even some cilantro lime rice or Spanish rice will be delicious.

Storage and advance tips

This is a good recipe Let the time advance. Get everything ready until the cooking part. Cover it in the refrigerator and cook it when needed the next day.

freeze. You can also put it in a freezer-safe container and keep it sealed in the refrigerator for up to 2 months, and eat it when you are preparing dinner.

We only recommend letting it thaw in the refrigerator overnight before making it. We usually leave no cheese before baking and add fresh shredded cheese, which is delicious and tacky. Cold cheese is often baked rather than melted. 😉

We hope you like this recipe as much as we do! We can’t believe this combination of ingredients will be so delicious, but we are glad we tried it. Some great side dishes include: Mexican street corn, Mexican corn bread and Southwest salad.
