We have always liked this combination of flavors and decided to make a recipe, topped with glaze, and it has become a favorite treat in the family.
These cinnamon cream cheese crescent rolls are simple, quick and perfect for brunch, weekend breakfast, or even dessert after school.
How to make cream cheese crescent rolls
First spread your croissant roll on the ungreased biscuit chip.
Cream cheese. Add a thin layer of cream cheese to each crescent roll.
butter. Brush each roll with melted butter.
Cinnamon Sugar. Add as much cinnamon/sugar mixture as needed ½ cup sugar, 1 TB cinnamon. For me-the more the better!
Roll up. Roll up each crescent roll starting from the broad side. Bake at 350 degrees for 11-12 minutes.
glaze. Mix powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and milk to make a glaze, then pour it on top of the warm crescent roll.
Optional plug-ins: One advantage of this recipe is that you can add your own personal style at any time. Various jams or chocolates can be added to the top with glaze.
You can also add any fruit, assorted jams, Nutella, pie filling, chocolate chips of any flavor or flavored whipped cream cheese in the middle before cooking.
How to store/reheat? Put any leftovers in a Ziploc bag or airtight container and store in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, use a microwave oven or reheat at low temperature in the oven.
This small snack has actually become the husband’s favorite snack on weekend mornings. It is heavenly to eat them when they come straight out of the oven! The mix of cream cheese, sugar and cinnamon makes these irresistible!
