How to Make Cilantro Lime Sauce

One of the ingredients is jalapenos that have been seeded, so here’s how you do it.

How to Deseed a Jalapeno: This seems simple enough, but if you’re new to cooking, you might like this information.

  1. Remove the stems and cut the jalapenos in half from top to bottom
  2. Gently scrape out the center membrane and seeds with a spoon. Do not scrape any jalapeno flesh.
  3. If you are using hot jalapenos, you may need to wear gloves.
  4. Avoid touching your eyes and face. Wash your hands when done.

Once you have the seeded jalapenos, use a food processor or blender to pulse the jalapenos and garlic cloves until they are finely chopped.

Add lime juice, honey, vinegar, 1 teaspoon garlic salt and cilantro. Pulse a few more times, then mix. Drizzle in the olive oil slowly while stirring.

After adding the olive oil, season with the remaining garlic salt.

Add oil, do not stir: Did you know that when you add olive oil you get a bitter taste? This is something I just learned and why you want to mix all the ingredients and then add the olive oil.

tip: For a creamier dressing, add ½ ripe avocado

Storage: Store dressing in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Make sure the dressing is at room temperature for no more than two hours when applying.

This Cilantro Lime Dressing is easy and delicious! Give it a try and let us know what you think. 😉
