How to Make Cilantro Lime Sauce
One of the ingredients is jalapenos that have been seeded, so here’s how you do it.
How to Deseed a Jalapeno: This seems simple enough, but if you’re new to cooking, you might like this information.
- Remove the stems and cut the jalapenos in half from top to bottom
- Gently scrape out the center membrane and seeds with a spoon. Do not scrape any jalapeno flesh.
- If you are using hot jalapenos, you may need to wear gloves.
- Avoid touching your eyes and face. Wash your hands when done.
Once you have the seeded jalapenos, use a food processor or blender to pulse the jalapenos and garlic cloves until they are finely chopped.
Add lime juice, honey, vinegar, 1 teaspoon garlic salt and cilantro. Pulse a few more times, then mix. Drizzle in the olive oil slowly while stirring.
After adding the olive oil, season with the remaining garlic salt.
Add oil, do not stir: Did you know that when you add olive oil you get a bitter taste? This is something I just learned and why you want to mix all the ingredients and then add the olive oil.
tip: For a creamier dressing, add œ ripe avocado
Storage: Store dressing in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Make sure the dressing is at room temperature for no more than two hours when applying.
