  • â…“ cup honey (110 g)
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon salt, plus a pinch, divided
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili
  • 1 egg
  • Âľ cup whole milk (180 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 ½ tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup flour (125 grams)
  • ½ tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Prepare

  1. In a small bowl, combine mustard, maple syrup and honey. Blend until smooth and set aside.
  2. Cut chicken breasts into cubes and season with salt, pepper, and chili.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and oil.
  4. Sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and a pinch of salt into a separate large bowl. Add wet ingredients and stir to combine.
  5. Add the seasoned chicken to the waffle batter and toss to coat.
  6. Heat waffles on the lowest heat.
  7. Spoon a piece of chicken and some batter into each portion. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the waffles are golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
  8. Serve with sauce.
