Candy Bar Brownies – A Chocolate Lover’s Dream
Thick and chewy candy bar brownies topped with chocolate and topped with Reese’s, Butterfingers, Cocoa Shortbread, Peanut Butter and more!
Use the boxed mix, or make a batch of homemade brownies as the base for this rich dessert. It’s thick and layered, similar to our Cheesecake Brownies and Double Fudge Brownies.
Do you like brownies?
I admit my husband is not a huge fan, but he absolutely loves these candy bar brownies that I am posting today because they are brownies to a whole new level!
I mean – what’s not to love thick chocolate flavors, Reeses’s, Butterfingers and lots of chocolate chips! đ
Can you go wrong with the kind of candy you throw on a chocolate cake? No!
We serve these with ice cream, but they’re definitely a great stand-alone dessert too. If you like a lot of chocolatey goodness, then you should definitely try these guys. I promise they won’t be disappointed. đ
Two layers of good
These brownies consist of two layers of chocolate. 1) Chocolate cake base and 2) Peanut butter chocolate mixture stuffed candy bars.
according to. You can use any store-bought mix boxed brownies, or use our favorite homemade brownies recipes. Bake until lightly unbaked, add chopped candy bars and bake 4-6 minutes more.
melt. Melt chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter until smooth. Stir in the cocoa nibs.
spread. Remove the brownies from the oven and spread the cocoa powder mixture on top.
chill. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. These brownies are best eaten cold.
Serve: One of the great things about these super-rich is that you only need a small piece for your needs. This makes them a great mini treat for parties. Simply cut the brownies into small pieces and place each piece in mini cupcake liners.
I also recommend having milk on hand to wash down the decadent treat!

This dessert is already filled with delicious chocolate. Of course, you can always add more or even replace with your favorites. Some ideas include: Reese’s Pieces, Mini M&M’s, Kit Kat, Chocolate or Peanut Butter Chips.
storage tips
shop Up to 3 days in an airtight container. You can store them at room temperature or in the refrigerator, but we recommend storing them in the refrigerator as the top layer is best cold.
arrive freeze Later, cut the brownies into cubes. Wrap each brownie in plastic wrap and place them in a Ziploc in the refrigerator, or you can wrap them again in foil. Freeze up to 3 months. Thaw before eating.

- 1 box brownie mix (or make your own)
- 1 cup butter finger chopped
- 1 cup Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups chopped
- 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups Cocoa Pebbles cereal

In a 9Ă13 pan, prepare brownies according to box directions. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until slightly underbaked. Remove and top with chopped butter fingers and Reese, and bake for an additional 4-10 minutes, until cooked through.

When they’re done baking, melt your chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter until smooth. Stir in the cocoa nibs.
