Bruschetta Caprese Recipe Add Avocado!
Top toast with juicy tomatoes, ripe avocado and fresh mozzarella cheese for this bruschetta. The most important thing is to use a balsamic glaze!
This bruschetta is similar to our traditional bruschetta, but with a bruschetta flavor. It’s a refreshing appetizer, especially with other Italian dishes.
Only 5 easy ingredients!
Bruschetta has been one of our long-time favorite appetizer recipes (and one of the most popular appetizers on the site)! But today’s version is a bit dazzling.
Like the original version, the bruschetta mix is tomato-based, but with the addition of fresh mozzarella and a balsamic glaze to give it a more caprese flavor.
We also added some avocado, which is not traditionally part of the Caprese recipe, but it adds a lot.
You can make this bruschetta look like a fancy appetizer, but it’s actually done in minutes, just mix the 5 ingredients together and spoon on some crusty bread . No one will doubt its simplicity!
How to make
Just mix and serve! Combine avocado, tomato, and mozzarella cheese in a small bowl. Spoon the mixture onto the crostini and drizzle with the balsamic glaze. Sprinkle basil on top. Serve immediately.
bread: In Italian, Crostini means small toast. You can make these with a variety of different types of bread. Our favorite types of bread to use are baguette. This is a perfect sized crusty loaf. Some other breads include:
Toast: You can simply cut the bread and sprinkle the pepper mixture on top, or bake it first:
- Lay the cut bread on the cookie sheet
- Butter each slice
- Bake on high heat for 2-5 minutes, watching carefully as they can go from fully browned to charred in seconds. Believe me!
lead and store
Do it in advance: because of avocado I do not recommend more than 3-4 hours in advance Otherwise the avocado will turn brown. If you want to prepare the other ingredients the day before and store them in separate containers, you can.
Then, when you’re ready to assemble everything, go ahead and cut the avocados and mix them together.
Also, don’t put caprese mix on crostini until you are ready to serve Because the bread will get soggy after a while.
Leftovers: The remaining Caprese mixture can be saved Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Avocados will turn brown, But you can still eat. Leftover raw toast can be stored in a Ziploc or wrapped in foil for a few days.
