My husband and I went with some friends to a place called Irma’s in Houston, Texas. We’ve never even heard of it, but we trusted our friends’ judgment and were excited to try it. When we stopped, we were surprised to see a small dilapidated restaurant with Ferraris and other fancy cars parked outside. That’s a hole in the wall, but it’s obviously popular too.

The place is crowded and full of hungry customers. Irma’s serves Mexican food, but they’re also known for their delicious lemonade. I chose not to eat anything to be healthier, but my husband wanted to try it. Of course I had to take a few sips and it really was the best strawberry lemonade I’ve ever tried (I regret not ordering some for myself, but thank god for the free refill!!) 😉

The best part about this lemonade? Huge chunks of different fruits mixed together! This makes the lemonade even more delicious. My husband asked me if I could try recreating it as he liked it so much too. Although, it’s not an exact replica of Irma’s Strawberry Lemonade, but I think today’s recipe is pretty close. Chunks of fruit make it harder to sip through a straw, but it’s really amazing and refreshing! Next time we have guests, I will probably triple the recipe and serve this because it would be too good not to. 😉
