Slow cooking D is the way
If you are like me, you are scrambling to get ready for all the party preparations that day.
What if I tell you I have something that can make it *a bit easier*?
Using clay pots is a great way to free up some time for other parties and dinner preparations. You can also use the pot to keep the appetizers warm throughout the event. It’s time to enjoy yourself and make time for other preparations! !
Tips for Crock Pot
Crock size: Many appetizers, such as dipping sauces, do not require a large pot. Ideally, you want your recipe to fill the pot with ½-¾ to achieve the best cooking results.
No peak: Unless otherwise instructed, do not lift the lid. When the lid is lifted, the heat required to cook the food will escape a lot. It may take up to 20 minutes to return to the correct temperature.
Warm setting: After the dishes are cooked, you need to remember to switch the setting to warm, otherwise the food may be overcooked. It is not recommended that you use the warm setting for more than 4 hours, so be sure to take this into consideration when starting your dishes. The warm environment is also perfect for keeping warm while transporting or serving appetizers made in another way at parties.
transportation: My sister-in-law used to make baked beans for my Aunt George to participate in family activities, but only half did it, and the other half ended up on the floor of her car. Poor girl! Since then, she has purchased a clay pot with a lock lid that can transport food very easily without spilling or losing heat. (Just make sure the lid is not locked when cooking food)
- No lockable lid? I recommend removing the lid and putting a piece of “compressed” food wrapper on the pan. Replace the lid and use a large heavy rubber band to string together each handle, just at the top of the lid.
- To prevent the pan from sliding in the car, please put the pan in the laundry basket or box in the study room and use a towel to make it close.
