Banana Oatmeal Pancakes Hearty and Delicious! !

Hearty Banana Oatmeal Pancakes are the most delicious breakfast! Serve with fresh fruit and a dash of maple syrup! Absolutely divine!

You can never go wrong with hearty and delicious pancakes. This healthy recipe is a family favorite and another classic recipe for our German pancakes and buttermilk pancakes.

Hearty breakfast

I always crave a whole bunch of pancakes. My kids keep asking for them and I can never say no. Especially these Banana Oatmeal Pancakes.

They’re the perfect hearty breakfast to start your day! We also love the different textures and flavors of these funfetti pancakes for special occasions and these bacon pancakes!

These Banana Oatmeal Pancakes are simply amazing. They are fluffy in the middle and just a tad crispy on the outside. Pancakes have everything you want. They go perfectly with sliced bananas, berries, and some maple syrup.

Ingredients + How to Make

Start by mixing the dry ingredients together in a large bowl:

  • flour
  • oat
  • sugar
  • baking powder
  • Cinnamon

Combine wet ingredients in another bowl:

  • Egg
  • milk
  • mashed banana
  • Oil

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until fully combined. Try not to overmix! Set the batter aside and let stand for 5 minutes.

While the batter is still, melt the butter as it heats up on the baking sheet. Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the baking sheet. When the pancake starts to bubble on top, flip it over and cook until golden brown.

Tips for making these pancakes:

  • You can use a mixer to make the batter if you want! Simply combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Don’t forget to rest the batsmen! It helps activate the starter and thicken the batter. This little inside tip will give you light and fluffy pancakes! Yes.
  • Before you make pancakes, make sure your baking sheet is hot. This will help them cook evenly throughout.

change, storage + service

Can these be made without eggs? Yes – set the eggs aside! Bananas and oatmeal put everything in the batter, so eggs aren’t entirely necessary.

How to store Banana Oatmeal Pancakes? How to freeze? We love making a big batch of these pancakes and leftovers – we just freeze them for later! Too easy. Toss them in a ziplock bag and store in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to eat them again – just reheat in the toaster or microwave!

With what? Pancake toppings are my favorite. Endless possibilities! Here are some of our favorites:

  • peanut butter
  • Maple sugar
  • fresh berries
  • banana slices
  • powdered sugar
  • jams of different flavors
  • butter
  • blueberry jam

We hope you enjoy these hearty pancakes. They are great on any morning and they are so delicious! !
