Must-eats at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival

A delicious collection of some of the new and best food to try and Epcot Food and Wine and all of Epcot’s best hospitality and restaurants.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival

Have you been to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival? If you haven’t already, you’re missing out on the festivities of global food, festivities, music, and more. As you should already know, Disney’s Epcot is already filled with some of the best food, entertainment and rides you’ll find at Disney World. The festival enhances the Epcot experience by adding more food and fun to the party.

This year, the festival will take place from August 30 to November 12, 2018. With concerts, special appearances by world-renowned chefs and food specials from around the world, make sure you come to Epcot during the festival.

Now that you know what the festival is, I wanted to share some must-eat items on offer during the festival. The food changes every year with new delicacies and treats, and they often bring back popular items from a few years ago. Some returning holiday favorites include:

  • Madras Red Curry – India
  • Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cake – Chocolate Studio
  • Braised Steak – Cheese Workshop
  • Cheddar Cheese Bacon Soup – Canada
  • Shrimp Scamp – Coastal Cuisine
  • Liquid Nitro Truffles – Chocolate Workshop

Today, I’m sharing with you some of my favorites from this year’s holiday season.

New food found at Epcot

As mentioned, new foods and treats are introduced each year at the festival. We were able to try many of these delicious concoctions and we wanted to make sure you were able to try these goodies too.

My favorite this year is Croissant Donuts on the taste track. What is a croissant doughnut? They are deep fried doughnuts made with croissant dough – they are amazing! This year’s flavors include:

  1. Croissant Donut Sprinkles
  2. Cinnamon and Sugar Croissant Donuts
  3. Croissant Donuts with Chocolate and Marshmallows
  4. Croissant Donuts with Chocolate Hazelnut Cream and Raspberry

Oh yes – you can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I have tried every one of these doughnuts and they are great, but the sprinkles, cinnamon and sugar are my favorites.

Another favorite is Sweet Potato Pudding from Canada. What is Putin?

Poutine is a Canadian fries with different toppings. In this case, they’re sweet potato fries with caramel sauce, mini marshmallows, and pecans.

If you are a sweet potato fan, you should definitely try this poutine as it is sweet and savory and a french fries dream.

Some other new favorites include Charred Chimichurri Skirt Steak the smell of fire and New Brunswick Slider From hops and barley. Skirt steak on smoked tortillas with pickled salad and cilantro aioli, while sliders feature slow-cooked brisket “pan roast style” with horseradish cream, crispy fried onions and pickles on potato rolls .

Yummy, right?

If you’re looking for classic American food, freshly baked carrot cake amazing. It’s soft, delicious, and comes with a delicious cream cheese frosting.

Another addition this year is Butternut Squash Ravioli From Food and Wine Studio. This ravioli is served in a brown butter vinaigrette with parmesan cheese and pumpkin seeds.

There’s really a lot of delicious food to try at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, but be sure to check out all the other classics around the park. Below, I’ll share some of our favorites with all Epcot restaurants. One visit won’t solve everything, but be sure to check the checklist to plan your stay in Epcot.

Good stuff from Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe.

EPCOT Restaurant

As evident from the list below, there are plenty of great places to eat when visiting Disney’s EPCOT. To make it easier to decide which restaurants to go to, I’ve listed all the current food spots along with their website and menu links. There is also a dollar sign ($) to indicate the price. The more dollar signs, the higher the food cost.

We hope this helps you plan your next visit to the most amazing place on Earth!
