Buffalo Cauliflower Bites +video Lil’ Luna

Make these Buffalo Cauliflowers for your next party! No one will notice that they are healthier, even made with cauliflower. They are our new appetizer!

We’ve always loved appetizers of all kinds (and all buffalo foods, like our Buffalo Chicken Dip and Buffalo French Bread), so we were excited to try these Buffalo Cauliflower Bites to add to our appetizer list.

As good as chicken!

Who loves cauliflower here?

I’ve been obsessed lately and ordered some buffalo cauliflower at California Pizza Kitchen. Great, I know I want to try to recreate it at home.

Since trying this recipe, I’ve made it at least 10 times now because it’s so good.

I decided to use our basic fried zucchini recipe and these cauliflower slices in place of Panko. We also roasted the cauliflower to make it healthier and it turned out great!

We certainly love our classic boneless buffalo wings, but these are so delicious to bite into and you’ll love them as much as you love chicken!

How to Make Cauliflower Buffalo Bites

Prepare. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray liberally with cooking spray. Pour the milk into a bowl and set aside while you prepare the other ingredients.

hack. Start by cutting two cauliflower heads into bite-sized pieces.

dry mix. Take a gallon sized ziplock bag and mix together the flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add Panko crumbs to separate bag. Now you’re ready to start coating each piece of cauliflower.

dip. Dip each cauliflower slice into a bowl of milk, then into the flour mixture. Then dip it back into the milk, then into the Panko crumb mixture.

bake. Place each bite on a greased baking sheet lined with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Toss + bake again. Take the cauliflower out of the oven and toss the bite into the buffalo wing sauce. Return to pan and bake for another 10 minutes. Turn oven to broil and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

bake. Baking it in the last few minutes will ensure it’s a little crispier. 😉

Recipe FAQs + Tips

Can you make buffalo cauliflower without flour and panko? We think using them will make them crispier, but you can always roast the cauliflower, then drizzle some buffalo sauce on top and bake a little longer.

How to make buffalo cauliflower in the air fryer? This recipe can also be made in the air fryer. To do this, just follow the directions, but before frying, spread the cauliflower evenly in the air fryer, making sure the florets are not touching, and cook at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Then toss them in buffalo sauce.

Can you reheat buffalo cauliflower? Reheating fried food is not always easy as it is definitely the best fresh food, but you can reheat by placing cauliflower on a greased baking sheet and baking at 375 degrees for 12-14 minutes . Bake at the last minute until crispy.

Can I change the sauce? This cauliflower doesn’t have to be tossed in buffalo sauce. We love this sauce, but we can’t wait to try it in our Teriyaki Chicken Wings or even Honey BBQ Chicken Wings.

If it’s a sauce that’s perfect for wings, then we can almost guarantee this sauce will be great on cauliflower too!

With what?

Be sure to serve these delicious Roasted Buffalo Cauliflower with your favorite dipping sauce – we prefer Homemade Ranch.

You can try this delicious nacho cheese sauce. Even a super tasty chipotle sauce. The creative possibilities for this fun appetizer are endless.

Again – you can fry these if you want, but baking them is the best option. It’s healthier and they’ll still be crispy when you bake to the last bit of baking.

We hope you can agree that this roasted buffalo cauliflower tastes like chicken and is super delicious. 😉
